The deeply offensive implications of the next two and a half pages are everything and nothing at all like what they look like.

So gimme three steps, three steps mister, three steps towards this score... hold your judgment until the end of the week and you'll be rewarded.

Edit: reviewing this page from 16 May 2016, I can say that damn, shading is a useful thing, basic filters are a useful thing. Not at all pleased with how this page has held up.

You are going to want to shave my face with a brick by the end of this week... and you'd be right to do so. Things have to go this way, but I don't take any pleasure from thrashing my audience.

as a Brit I find the idea of a mortgage being 'delinquent' almost surreal; not sure if that means the same as 'default' over here or if there's a joke here I'm not getting...

'for servicing by a qualified technician' ... hummmm

the little details, like the opened letter on the floor, all add to the humour :)

Yes, they've missed payments. No joke, just a shitty situation.

Yeah, I'm trying to up the little details on my work... I know that's what increases "replay" value.

I see. Well, having that around your leg surely sucks.
The hint means I have not actually seen you being a true bastard yet. Bring it!

They have a picture of the governor hanging around?

well I read this as a 5 panel page [so panel 4 is the one with 'delinquent' in the speech]

the visual joke is the expression on the face of the poster whilst looking at Tona - maybe it's just the way my mind works, but this is sleeze after all - and in the last panel Mom is blocking the view :D - this may all be totally unintentional, but I think it's great composition

I see, I see :D
Lir's work is full of stuff that seems intentional but he will say it is not. You can bet on that!
He is a wizard of creating coincidences like that without knowing it.
Or just plain denying it ;)

I just know the governor from the 30 Days of Characters thing.

MadJak, Frettle-

Of course you guys have to go a few rounds while I'm up to my eyeballs in IRL responsibilities. However, here's the deal--MadJak's right, I totally didn't intend the effect that I got out of putting Scotty Walker's face on that wall. In fact, it was a late in the day edit. However, the effect is humorous once you notice it, and I appreciate Frettle for pointing that out.

Shameful, yet still sexy, Lir.
Matching eye make-up and highlights?
Nice.

Just for the record, I feel like a complete bastard.

Tona started out as a caricature of college Republicans--a demographic I am not a fan of--which made me inclined to treat her pretty rough. However, taking a step back and looking at where things have gone with her character, with how far this recipient of the Silver Star has fallen, I can't help but be a little nauseated.

However, this beats the original intro to Volume Four, where Tona [redacted for about fifty different triggers... which I might employ later in this work].

To make it up to you, my long-suffering audience, I will be posting an extra page on Friday night just to get out of this nastiness faster.

P.S. RD get hot on them "women of questionable morals" in Line that you promised many moons ago... until then no shoes for you.

Darned! A character of my comic is headed to have one of those things in her ankle. I planned it years ago and still have not done it... Now it's going to look as it I stole it from you...

*cough* spoilers *cough*

And I don't want to get into timing of pages, but I have a feeling you drew yours well before Tona here got into trouble... stole this, stole that, you could argue it both ways.
