OK, this is more like it.

Edit: On a re-read. Some of these recent pages don't really hold up too hot... however, this one, this one I love.

Edit, 21 August 2016: Man, none of you kids got the joke about cooking grenades... they simply do not teach children anything useful in school anymore.

Edit: 18 December 2018: This page is crude, but it's better than anything I've seen in my latest perusal of Webtoons... that's where we're going next, my friends.

Jeebus...

This definitely feels like something that's been... er... cooking for some time.

I love the way that Rasputin there is so confident he's going to kill Eric even as Eric is dropping a grenade a few feet away...

I NEED the next page, like yesterday.

OH MY GOD [redacted for self-pity]

Yeah yeah exposition but at least there was something happening. Also: bottom lighting, and use of MS5 EX watercolor brushes to generate "debris" backgrounds.

Answer my question about concrete surface textures!

Oh yeah...

I knew I was forgetting something...

(Now I know I need to put my admiration for technique in actual WORDS, ya big baby...) :P

Prof, I'm just weeping to myself because I have an unholy combination of minimal technical efficiency, exceptionally poor time management skills, and some ungodly ability to keep moving when bone-tired. Yes, I'm braggin'.

On another note--I think we've already seen a disturbing tendency for bullets and car bumpers to be less-than-effective at killing a certain class of characters, so I doubt that grenade will do much more than make Rasputin angry.

Thanks. That line was generated within 30 minutes of page completion.

Anybody who commits to precise wording any earlier than that is missing out on desperation.

Well yeah, that just makes sense. Why *only* torch your company in an orgy of arson and murder to avoid liabilities if you can set a trap for a big terrorist score while you're at it? I figured that was why he was having the wedding. Combining the wedding and the arson so that maybe you can pin all the destruction on the terrorist you're trying to get is what raises this to the level of a master plan. It's totally up in the air if Maerc intends to get rid of Sonja after this too, he might not want her around if his next phase isn't paramilitary or gangster.

The funny thing is that even knowing this Eric probably wouldn't leave. Why won't Eric leave? It can't just be a thing for Sonja, can it? Felicia's been rescued by the knife-maniac, so what else is there besides making an assassination attempt on Maerc? If it's Tona that says a lot about how much attention he pays to her activities and movements.

Eh, not really going to comment so much on plot musings at this point; although you may see me milling around the forums from time to time I really just need to wrap this thing up. Then we all can weigh in on how it went.

Sorry about the delayed response, it's becoming very obvious that this production schedule isn't sustainable.

I see responding to my attempts to crack your plot as entirely secondary to the business of you working on the comic, and the whole thing is your unpaid labour I have no right to demand or expect. Apology unnecessary I'd say, you take care of you and yours first and foremost.

OOOoooo hoy. Dat text. That's dark and wow. Bye bye Grigor maybe unless you really are invulnerable. Time will tell.

Let's just say that Grigori and Eric are roughly equivalent when it comes to "dying hard".

welcome to Nakatomi Tower
